Laser Tools makes specialist tools for specific jobs: oil filter wrenches, brake caliper wind-back tools, bearing pullers, spark plug sockets and more. If the job needs a tool we do not have on the wall, we can usually get it.

Buying guide
A basic tool kit for car maintenance
- 3/8" drive metric socket set with a ratchet
- Combination spanners, 8mm to 19mm
- Screwdriver set and Torx bits
- Pliers and side cutters
- Torque wrench (wheel nuts and brakes need the right torque)
- Trolley jack and a pair of axle stands (never work under a car on a jack alone)
- Oil filter wrench and a drain pan

Can you order a specialist tool?
Yes. If a job needs a specific tool we do not have on the wall, call us and we will look it up.
Do I need a torque wrench?
For wheels, brakes and engine parts, yes. Over-tightened bolts strip and under-tightened ones work loose; the right torque is in the workshop data for your car.
